Is the Constitution Still Our Lifeboat in Troubled Waters?
The Constitution is Sinking - Nano Banana Generated
With each passing day, with each “breaking news” alert I grow more concerned that the Left is clinging to the Constitution as if it were a lifeboat come to rescue us from the ICE-bound waters in which tread. While the Constitution sets forth the means in which government is to be conducted; the executive, judicial, and legislative branches are colluding to render the document that has served us for 239 years invalid. This revered paper is only of consequence if those in power honor their oath to protect it. They have failed to do so.
The ACLU sees the regime as coordinating an “assault on the constitutional architecture”—an apt observation.
Dismantle the Constitution
Reagan kicks off the Mandate for Leadership–Ensured a Copy was placed in the hands of every member of Congress
Trump’s ahead with 64% of the Plan’s checkboxes ticked
The plan, 50 years in the making, effectively dismantles our Constitution, and the Trump/Heritage Foundation regime has shown utter disregard for its tenets. (The Guardian) To continue to rely on its power to rein in an authoritative president is naive; akin to building a house on shifting sand. We need to consider a cohesive means to resist. We can’t trust the Constitution to ensure we have a fair election, or indeed, any future elections.
Shortly after taking his second term, Trump said, ““It’s some deep psychological thing, but when you win the presidency, you don’t win the midterms.”. He then boasted that he had accomplished so much that, “when you think of it, we shouldn’t even have an election.”. Democracy Docket The rhetoric doesn’t stop. “How we have to even run against these people—I won’t say cancel the election, they should cancel the election,” Trump said. “The fake news would say, ‘He wants the elections canceled. He’s a dictator.’ They always call me a dictator.” Democracy Docket And also recorded by Democracy Docket, “I’m not sure, is there a little something out there that I’m not allowed to run?” Trump added. “Let’s assume I was allowed to run. This could be a constitutional movement.”
The Left cries, “Do something!” Yet, it feels as if there is little action and a lot of hand wringing. There are options; some of which revolve around Blue States working as a unified group rather than trying to navigate these turbulent waters alone. Some might cry that such options are in violation of the Constitution, to which I say, the Constitution has already been ripped asunder.
More to come . . .
